Overview of Services

The nCounter Core Facility is since 2011 a part of the CellNetworks Core Technology Platform of the Heidelberg University and is located at the Institute of Human Genetics. The facility offers service of the state-of-the-art expression analysis technology for 800+ mRNA, miRNA and CNV profiling in one sample using the 'nCounter SPRINT Profiler' analysis system and multicellular digital spatial profiling on transcript and protein level on FFPE or fresh frozen tissue sections using the 'GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler', both from nanoString Technologies. In addition, the facility offers ‘Quality Control Only analysis’ for RNA and DNA samples.

Our service includes:

nCounter SPRINT Profiler expression analysis

Support of project planning
Quality control (QC) of input material
Performance of nCounter SPRINT Profiler experiment
QC of generated data and data delivery
Temporary data and sample storage
Support in data analysis applying the nanoString nSolver software
in case of cooperation*: data analysis and provision of results

GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler analysis

Support of project planning together with nanoString
Technical assistance
Performance of nCounter SPRINT Profiler protein or RNA readout
Data delivery
Temporary data and sample storage

Quality Control Only (RNA/DNA)

Support of project planning
Performance of TapeStation or/and Qubit analysis
